. . Lisa . .

Owner / Stylist

I will be starting college again, summer 2023 to obtain my Associated Degree in Nursing.

Sorry to announce that I will no longer be taking new clients.

As soon as I hit High School I was in the counselor’s office asking how I could graduate early. I wanted my cosmetology license, I had a vision of a 1940 theme hair salon, with a “susie homemaker” type of feel..

I received my Cosmetology license in 2001, worked in various salons, then decided to get involved in education. I was an instructor for Paul Mitchell the School for almost five years. I then reached my goal and opened up “The Vintage Hair Salon” in June 2011. Since then I have taught in two other private Cosmetology Colleges including Toni&Guy Academy.

I specialize in ladies’ vintage haircuts, such as the “Middy” (also known as the “Horse Shoe” or “U Shape”) and “Betty Bangs”. I offer a classic 1940/1950 hair style (victory rolls with curls) or a take home classic curling iron set pattern, for you to brush out and play with when you get home.

I LOVE being a hair stylist and do it all, including todays modern styles. Such as ladies’ haircuts, men’s haircuts, color (I can work with stick straight, thin, thick and curly hair, having to deal with my curly hair all my life ended up making me a better hair stylist).

I was able to established a successful clientele, because its apparent that I love my profession, getting to know my clients and their needs. I love the cozy, intimate atmosphere my salon offers. My clients have my undivided attention (my cell phone is on silent). I do not double book (unless requested by the client). It’s so unfortunately rare these days to have uninterrupted face to face conversation. My everyday goal is to make sure my clients know that they are valued, appreciated and respected.
